Mommy Mondays #2

Today is just one of those days. This weekend Carter and I went to visit my sister in New York. It wasn't that stressful with him, but there is just so much stuff to bring!  Diapers, formula, bottles, clothes etc plus extras of everything.  And don't forget the pack and play and stroller!  Thankfully I was able to carry or stuff it all underneath the stroller except the pack and play which my sister helped carry up to her third floor walk up!
Carter was all snuggled up in the stroller!
We had a good visit, but I realized how glad I am that we decided to have Carter sleep in a separate room than us!  He is loud and moves around a lot in his sleep!  Needless to say, I did not feel well rested when he finally woke up for real at 6:15!  Yesterday was a tough day what with being tired and then not eating until almost noon because all the brunch places in New York don't open until 11!  I had a bad headache by the time I got home and even Tylenol couldn't help me!

This morning Carter decided a good time to start practicing rolling over was 4:11am.  But, he still doesn't like being on his stomach so when he rolls over he just starts crying!  We are anxiously waiting for the day when he figures out how to flip back over to his back on his own, or starts to embrace being on his stomach!

What do you do when you're baby wakes up at some ungodly hour?  He used to sleep through until about 6:30 or so and now its earlier every day!  We are getting frustrated with the early wake up call every day and our own lack of sleep!   Do you have any tips for a tired mom (and dad!)?

I hope you will link up with me for Mommy Mondays!

  1. Hey. It may be teething. My baby was 4 months old..maybe a week shy of 4 months old and her sleep started getting really bad. SHe used to sleep 10-12 hours at night then she started waking up between 4-5 every night. Then a few days later you could feel teeth. It is rare for a baby to teeth at 4 months but it happens.

  2. Luke LOVE Sto sleep on his tummy now! I rmemeber those days all too well. it's really hard at first, and kids are such loud sleepers. We had luke in bed with us this wkend and he was talking in his sleep about dinosaurs. It's funny, I posted today about sleep too! It'll pass, then it will happen again....it's all part of motherhood!
