Christmas 2011

Well Christmas is over and done with, although my tree is still up! Not that I plan to leave it for some crazy amount of time, I've just been too lazy to take it down! For the holidays this year we went to Florida to visit both of our families! We had a great time with our families and loved the warm weather in Florida! We even made it out to the beach a little bit while we were in Sarasota!

The highlight of Christmas Eve was the "white elephant" gift exchange after dinner at my aunt and uncles house!

My husband got a shake weight, which everyone thought was hilarious and was passed around the room several times! This also made for some great photo opportunities of my relatives trying to use the shake weight in various ways (use your imaginations!)

Mom got a "Situation" pen, which said various phrases when you pressed the button.

Dad got a Justin Beiber talking toothbrush. This took a lot of explaining as my dad has no idea who Justin Beiber is and kept referring to it as his "beaver toothbrush." Errrr, no dad, just, no.

Christmas morning our stockings were hung with care.... or leaned since my parents haven't finished their mantle yet!

Dad thought it would be funny to wrap my mom's new raincoat in a pizza box!

We went ice-skating which was a traumatic experience for all! My dad also thought it would be cold in the ice rink so he wore gloves and hat, although it was about 70 out!

After Christmas we went to visit my husbands family in south Florida and we went to some nice parks to walk around and then over to the beach!

Me and Andrew our last night in Florida! We ate dinner with his parents on the water!

Overall we had a great trip and it was really good to see our families, although I have to admit I wish my sister and her husband could have made it out! But, hopefully next year they will!!

We were back just in time for New Years Eve which we spent with some friends and watched the fireworks from their roofdeck!
